Maximum transparency, pure silicone tubing does not age or crack, remains flexible and kink-free with age, and is free of all toxic chemicals. This tubing is suitable for drinking water and medical use if properly sterilized.

Unlike many plastics used for tubing, silicone is different in that it begins its life as pure sand. The silicon atom forms more stable bonds; therefore this tubing doesn't age and is resistant to harsh environments, stays soft when cold, and doesn't melt when heated. 

Silicone is UV proof, this tubing will not be affected by UV and does not deteriorate. Over time the tubing will loose some transparency but will retain its full mechanical properties long term. While some engineering guides list fully cured platinum catalyzed silicone rubber of having a life shelf of 50-80 years, other literature suggests its service life as indefinite. The chemical bonds are very stable.

The tube is very pliable and stretchy, allowing you to make tight turns and stretch it over barbs that are a little too big.
